Before leaving Wales, Huw worked on his family's hill farm as well as working on civil engineering/construction projects.
During his time with the Forestry Commission, Huw was involved with Forestry management, Conservation management, Landscape design, Deer management and utilities projects.
After moving to the south west, Huw then became a Director of Landcare Ltd. He then joined Bell Ingram and was involved in the establishment and running of a new office, as well as the provision of rural land management, environmental management, pipeline and utilities work on behalf of Scottish Water as well as Windfarm projects.
